Our name means two things

Mending Society, an adjective followed by the noun it describes: a society for people who mend things. Maybe we’re frugal. Maybe we’re the opposite of wealthy. Maybe we’re creative. Whatever our motivation is, we try to fix things that break instead of throwing them out.

Mending Society, a verb followed by the direct object to which it is done: society is broken and we would like to fix it.
